TODEC Donation Drive Supports Immigrant Families in Coachella
TODEC Legal Center hosted a donation drive today at its Coachella offices to support immigrant families facing ongoing challenges.
Donations were accepted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with community members dropping off nonperishable food, hygiene products, and new household goods to help families dealing with safety concerns and financial hardship.
TODEC leaders say the need has grown significantly this year, with more than 3,000 families each month seeking assistance. Organizers say many families are living in fear, struggling to work, and unable to provide basic necessities for their children.
Supporters who stopped by said they wanted to stand in solidarity with families in need and provide essential groceries and supplies.
The timing of the drive on the eve of Valentine’s Day was intentional. Organizers say they hoped to send a message of love and unity, reminding families they are supported and not alone during this difficult time.
