Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Closes Due to High Winds From Storm System

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway closed Wednesday due to high winds as a storm system continues moving through the Coachella Valley.

The tramway announced the closure at 9:20 a.m., saying a confirmed opening time remains unknown. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.

The closure comes as the area deals with its second storm system in two days. Rain is falling across the valley on Wednesday morning and is expected to continue through Thursday.
