Federal Arrest Reported Outside Indio Courthouse

A federal arrest was captured on camera outside the Larson Justice Center in Indio this morning.

NBC Palm Springs was on the scene when a man dressed in a suit was in the courthouse parking lot on a phone call and appeared to be arriving at or leaving a hearing when another man approached him and began asking questions.

Within minutes, two unmarked vehicles arrived. An individual who identified himself as a federal agent placed the man in handcuffs, escorted him to one of the vehicles, and drove away. Two additional men assisted in the arrest, one of whom was wearing a mask.

We reached out to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which said it was not aware of any arrests at that location. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not yet responded to our request for comment.
