An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Monday, April 13, 2026!

As a frontal boundary is dragged East over Southern California today, there is a possibility of scattered showers, cooler temperatures, while on-shore winds ramp-up.

Although the Coachella Valley will not pick-up any measurable rainfall today, widely scattered, very light precipitation is possible over mountains and from the San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire to the Coast through this afternoon.

Also, today the Palm Springs will experience its coolest weather since mid-February. The Valley will be under mostly sunny skies this afternoon with below-normal high temperatures in the lower-70s.

Although not as strong as yesterday, on-shore winds will strengthen during the afternoon and evening hours elevating dust and dirt. Because of this, an Air Quality Alert has been posted for the Coachella Valley through late-Monday evening.

You can expect lots of sunshine on Tuesday with light winds and slightly below-normal high temps in the lower-80s.
