Indio Showcases Massive Economic Boost from Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals

The City of Indio is highlighting the powerful economic impact of hosting two of the nation’s most prominent music events—the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Festival.

According to city officials, the festivals generate an estimated $700 million annually for the Coachella Valley, making them a critical driver of the region’s economy. The events draw more than 125,000 attendees, bringing a surge of visitors who fill hotels, dine at local restaurants, and support small businesses throughout the area.

Beyond tourism, the festivals play a major role in job creation. Leaders say that more than 10,000 temporary jobs are supported each year across hospitality, event operations, and related industries during the three busy festival weekends. These opportunities provide a significant boost to the local workforce and economy.

Officials also point to the global exposure the festivals bring. With international media coverage and attendees traveling from around the world, Indio continues to grow its reputation as a leading cultural and tourism destination.

City leaders stress that the impact of these events extends far beyond the festival grounds, benefiting the broader Coachella Valley and reinforcing Indio’s status as a key hub for large-scale entertainment and economic growth.
