An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, April 22, 2026!

Although that Wind Advisory for Southern California ended this morning, an Air Quality Alert continues for the Coachella Valley through midnight tonight because of settling windblown dust.

The Valley will see fair-weather clouds today along with near-normal high temperatures in the middle-to-upper 80s.

We'll be under a mix of Sun and clouds on Thursday and Friday when midday temps peak close to 90° both afternoons.

Next -- as a disturbance approaches the Coast -- on-shore winds will once again become an issue, especially during the afternoon and evening hours on both Saturday and Sunday.

While this low pressure center will not trigger any precipitation to the Coachella Valley area, it will play a role in cooling Valley temperatures into the upper-70s both days this weekend.
