Coachella Valley Animal Campus Urges Foster Help Amid Overcapacity
The Coachella Valley Animal Campus is issuing an urgent plea for help as staff say the facility is currently over capacity and in need of immediate support from the community.
According to shelter officials, five dogs that are currently nursing puppies have recently been taken in, including some that were reportedly abandoned at the shelter as recently as last night.
Staff say the sudden influx of animals has stretched available space and resources, creating an urgent need for foster homes and adoptive families.
Shelter representatives are encouraging residents who are able to help to contact the facility as soon as possible to assist with fostering or adoption. They say community support is critical to ensuring the animals receive proper care and space while they await permanent homes.
